FIA Karting European Championship: MacAndrew-Uren victorious and Green Champion after wild OK-Junior race

Stan Ratajski (LN/TM) and Emerson MacAndrew-Uren (Tony/Vortex) started on the front row and MacAndrew-Uren made the best start with Ratajski pushed back to 6th. Oskari Walle (Parolin/TM) and Matvey Dergunov (LN/TM) were among the drivers who didn’t make it round the first lap and Lorenzo Di Pietrantonio (KR/IAME) dropped to the back.

MacAndrew-Uren was being pursued by Leon Chelidze (Exprit/TM) and Daniel Miron Lorente (KR/IAME) passed Zack Zhu (KR/IAME) for 3rd. Lucas Palacio (Exprit/TM) gained six places in the first three laps to take 3rd from Miron Lorente. 

Miron Lorente continued to attack Palacio who had backed up the pack, now 4s behind Chelidze. He took 3rd on lap 13 but still had a large deficit to 2nd 

Antoine Venant (KR/IAME) launched an audacious attack on the pack to take 4th, then attacked Miron Lorente for 3rd, but now 8s behind Chelidze. Gioele Girardello (Parolin/TM) was now the fastest driver on the track in 7th. 

Miron Lorente launched another attack on Venant but Palacio saw an opportunity to go 3rd and Venant dropped back. Julian Frasnelli (Tony/Vortex) had gained 23 positions and then clashed with Venant, who lost a side pod and was flagged in. Girardello was now 5th to boost him up to 3rd in the Championship. 

Another crash took out Ratajski and Rocco Simone (Henza/TM), then Girardello was forced down to 16th. 

MacAndrew-Uren took the win for the first time with Chelidze 3.5s behind. The chasing pack finished 15s behind, only just headed by Palacio from Miron Lorente, with Zhu and Frasnelli completing the top six. However, the race had been extremely robust and there may have been several dropped spoilers. 

Will Green (KR/IAME) has secured the Championship after finishing 19th, with Miron Lorente 2nd and the final finisher Many Nuvolini (KR/IAME) 3rd.
