All-time record entry at La Conca for the ACI Karting Italian Championship

The second round at the La Conca International Circuit is set to welcome an unprecedented number of entries for Southern Italy. The event will take place from May 28th to 31st. Full schedule details below.

The start of the ACI Karting Italian Championship brings another major entry record for this weekend’s second round at the La Conca International Circuit. This is a resounding success not only for the Muro Leccese venue, but also for the whole of Southern Italy.

Following the stunning opening round at Lonato, which set an all-time record of 353 verified drivers from 355 entries, La Conca boasts 292 participants. This figure represents another impressive and highly significant record for Southern Italy, a geographical area that historically attracts fewer drivers. Previous peak turnouts were recorded in 2023 at La Conca (Lecce) with 228 drivers, in 2022 at Ugento (Lecce) with 246 drivers, and in 2024 in Sicily at Triscina (Trapani) with 225 drivers.

With 292 drivers competing across five categories and over 90 competitors, this event marks another major milestone for the 2026 ACI Karting Italian Championship. This success confirms the strong popularity of the two direct-drive categories, OK-N (84 drivers) and OK-NJ (70 drivers), alongside the usual classes: MINI Gr.3 Under 10 (37 drivers), MINI Gr.3 (52 drivers), and KZ2 (49 drivers).

Saturday, May 30th: 9:00 Warm-up; 10:30 Qualifying Heats.
Sunday, May 31st: 8:00 Warm-up, 9:50 Prefinals, 14:00 Finals.
