Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) started perfectly at the lights of the KZ2 Final, while Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart / Vortex) attacked Paolo De Conto (CRG / TM) to take 2nd place. Patrik Hajek (Kosmic / Vortex) was 4th in front of Bas Lammers (Lion Kart / TM), Alex Irlando (Sodi / TM) and Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM). Puhakka then passed his teammate, and De Conto tried to take advantage. He had to wait for the fifth lap to pass Ardigo at the hairpin. Riccardo Longhi (Birel ART / TM) was in 7th place, followed by Tom Leuillet (Sodi / TM) while Abbasse was 9th. De Conto chased the leader Puhakka and passed him on the ninth lap. Lammers attacked Hajek at the same time and Irlando seized the opportunity to take 4th position in front of the Dutchman. Ardigo had been chasing the leader at the mid-point with Puhakka in his wake, Lammers becoming more and more pressing on Irlando and taking 4th place on the 13th lap. Puhakka was slipping after attacking Ardigo and fell to 9th place. With two laps to go, Leuillet went up the inside of Irlando to join the top five. De Conto took another victory, but Ardigo could be satisfied with his return to business after a long absence. Hajek headed Lammers for the third step of the podium and Leuillet achieved a significant 5th place ahead of Francesco Iacovacci (Luxor / LKE), with Irlando 7th, Longhi 8th, Puhakka 9th and Brad Benavides (Sodi / TM) 10th.
