A unique turn-key formula, the 2014 French F4 Championship welcomes the debut on the race track of a new generation, faster car for the seven meetings of the calendar offering 21 races on seven international circuits and training at the FFSA Academy in Le Mans. Thanks to a stronger partnership with Renault, the prizes will increase: in addition to the €100,000 awarded to the winner of the Championship, in order to allow him to continue his sporting development under the best conditions, the driver will be offered a place within the Renault Sport Academy, with a view to his accession to Formula 1 with Renault Sport Racing. Entries are open until January 15th, 2017.
The word from the President of the FFSA, Nicolas Deschaux:
“The French F4 Championship is a key element of our high-level circuit policy. Organised through our federal training centre at Le Mans, this championship benefits from the loyal support of Renault and has seen the evolution of many famous drivers today racing internationally. The members of the Steering Committee and I are keen to renew our National Championships and to go further in supporting our drivers and we look forward to Renault’s increasing involvement alongside the Federation.“
Frédéric Vasseur, Director of Renault Sport Racing
“Renault Sport Racing carries out numerous initiatives to promote the emergence of new talent and to detect the future Renault Sport F1 World Champions. Already involved in the French F4 Championship for a long time, it seemed logical to expand our involvement through the Renault Sport Academy. Thus, we will offer the winner of the 2017 season a place in our high level programme, including several physical training sessions and test sessions supervised by our expert team.“
