As the poleman and winner of his four heats, Victor Martins (Kosmic / Parilla) is satisfied with his progress in the European Championship at Genk. Dramatic incidents however, have not been lacking among the title contenders. The leader Noah Watt (Tony Kart / Vortex) was excluded from the last heat because of a disconnected airbox after a vigorous skirmish with Gillian Henrion (Kosmic / Vortex). He dropped to 15th position. The chaser, Caio Collet (Birel ART / Parilla) did not really get rid of his disadvantage from Qualufying, as he is only 50th on Saturday night. The third man, Isac Blomqvist (Tony Kart / Vortex) ended up 12th without an impressive performance. Under these conditions, the 2nd placed Fin Kenneally (FA Kart / Vortex) and the 3rd place of Dennis Hauger (CRG / Parilla) give these two drivers new opportunities.
To return to the heats ranking at Genk, note the 4th position from Sami Taoufik (FA Kart / Vortex) ahead of Theo Pourchaire (Kosmic / Vortex) and Charles Milesi (Tony Kart / Vortex). Theo Nouet (Energy / TM) managed to reach 20th position while Henrion dropped to 34th after several incidents, and Adam Eteki (Tony Kart / Vortex) was no better rewarded in 38th position. In any case, the two Prefinals on Sunday morning promise serious fights.
