Just 17 years old, the German Moritz Horn is starting his second year in KF. Trained in the ADAC Youngster Cup in 2010, he then raced in KF3 for two seasons in Germany before joining the Energy Corse team and started international racing in 2013, in addition to the DKM where he finished 23rd, he finished 15th in the WSK Final Cup in November at Castelletto. He will compete in a full programme in 2014 to support his growth at the top level.
Moritz started his season this weekend in the Winter Cup at the Lonato circuit. The improvement compared to 2013 was notable from qualifying, and he was around the top 15 in the heats. He then qualified for the final with a 3rd place after a battle in the Repechage and continued his momentum up to 22nd position in the final, despite problems in the prefinal.
Moritz will race in all of the major international races in 2014, the WSK Champions Cup, the Super Master Series, Final Cup, CIK-FIA European and World Championships and the Margutti and Industrial Trophies, in addition to the DKM German Championship. This will be enough to give him the opportunity to hone his experience and perform well on the biggest European kart circuits before finishing his season in Las Vegas at the Supernationals.
