It was already hot under the sun at Castelletto when the KF3 drivers started Prefinal A. Nikita Sitnikov (Tony Kart / BMB) retained the lead for two laps, but Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex), was very fast and overtook first Dalton Sargeant (Tony Kart / Vortex) before attacking the leader to take the lead from the lap 3. The fight is heated in the peloton with Maurizio Baiz (Birel / BMB), Petrut Florescu (Zanardi / Parilla) taking 8th and 10th positions, together with Daniel Ticktum (Zanardi / Parilla). Dorian Boccolacci (ART GP / Parilla) made an excellent start and was sixth for 3 laps, but the machine didn’t have the pace and it kept losing places until the finish. Lorandi escaped and won the race ahead of Sitnikov, Sargeant back to 3rd at the end of the race, Florescu 4th, Baiz 5th. Boccolacci was barely able to contain Lance Stroll (Zanardi / Parilla) on the last lap for a modest 13th position.
Niko Kari (Tony Kart / Vortex) stalled at the start of Prefinal B, slowing the outside line while Callum Ilott (Zanardi / Parilla) escaped already in the lead, followed by Georgy Antonov (CRG / Parilla), Slavko Ivanovic (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Lando Norris (FA Kart / Vortex) who had started on row 5. Julien Darras (Tony Kart / Parilla) made a cautious start after all the trouble he had and was far back in the top 15. Ivanovic passed Antonov for 2nd place, but then firmly resisted Norris who would have to wait several corners to overtake. Antonov took 4th place in front of Kari, Simone Cunati (Top Kart / Parilla) and Nikita Mazepin (Zanardi / Parilla) who was up to 12th place. Then he took 11th, and Darras retired four laps before the end due to a problem with the accelerator stop.
