The 23 drivers in the World Championship KF1 started their qualifying on Saturday morning at Genk, under a perfectly blue sky.
As always, everything would be decided in the final moments of the session. Suddenly Nyck De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla) stopped on the edge of the track before he completed a single lap. The Dutch driver had suffered an engine problem in the first session of the day.
From that moment it was between Karol Basz (RK / BMB), Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex), Tereza Gromanova (Kosmic / Vortex), Leo Roussel (Sodi / Parilla) and Sébastien Bailly (Kosmic / Vortex). Alexander Albon (Intrepid / TM) moved up to third. The pole went to Camponeschi, with 52,865, from Basz, 52,966, and Albon 52,999. Roussel advanced to fourth, Gromanova fifth.
