Super KF provided a good dose of surprises during qualifying heats for the World Series WSK at El Sheik. The two favorites in the bunch were relegated, while two champions resurfaced. Armand Convers (Kosmic / Vortex) had no fewer than three engines break during the day and was left in 11th position. Nyck De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla) won the first heat before suffering mechanical problems in the next two. He could not even complete a lap in the last one and he was relegated to 8th place.
Aranud Kozlinski (CRG / Maxter) was able to race at the front for the first time this year. While the circuit suits him well, his machine has received a healthy performance improvement. In the end, he scored a 2nd place in the wake of Nyck and two wins. The morale was even higher when his teammate Davide Fore finished second in the last brilliant heat. Koko will thus start from pole on Sunday for the the pre-final. Next to him on the front row is Sauro Cesetti (Birel / BMB), consistent in his performance on Saturday. Ben Cooper and his Kosmic / Vortex are in third position ahead of Zdenek Groman (Maranello / Parilla).
The order promises a good show for the finals of the premier class at one of the last appearances of the stars of karting in Super KF.
