The 2010 Formula Kart Stars Championship will feature twelve rounds over six weekends with drivers in all classes competing in timed qualifying, two heats and a final on each day.
“We have planned our 2010 season to ensure we give our drivers the maximum possible track time,” says series director Carolynn Hoy. “As a result the coming year will certainly be a marathon and not a sprint.”
Under the new format, drivers can expect to hit the track 48 times during the season with points being accrued in the heats and finals. The best ten of twelve round scores will count towards the final totals.
“We believe our new format will enable more drivers to enjoy a positive weekends racing” says Hoy. “Having two full days competitive racing with four sessions per day will certainly keep everyone busy both on and off track.”
