Determined to expand its presence in kart racing, the CRG Group has just created its Junior Team, which will allow young drivers to acquire the experience they need for high-level races. President of the CRG Group Giancarlo Tinini is showing his strong confidence in the future and given all the excellent results during 2009 season, when CRG conquered several world titles, he decided to choose a Belgian team, VDK Racing, to create a CRG Junior Team. Headquartered near the company building in Lonato, the new team will have a racing organization suited to an international racing calendar, the French and Belgian Championships, in the KF3 and KF2 categories. The best drivers from the Junior Team will then have the opportunity to continue their careers in CRG Racing Team.
The experience of the Verdaasdonk brothers, Alain and Eric (owners of the VDK team) is undisputed. Loyal to CRG and Maxter, they have always accompanied young talents to the top, as demonstrated by Jonathan Thonon’s success: he made his debut in “Mini” with VDK in 1996 and has now become one of the best drivers in the world. VDK’s young talent Stoffel Vandoorne had a great season in 2009, culminated in a second place in the World Cup for KF2.
