After his performance on Saturday, Davide Fore (CRG / Maxter) was assured of pole even after the heats on Sunday. But on equal points, Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) was very efficient. The duel will be hotly contested in the pre-final. From a distant 15th in timed practice, the Belgian Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter) has effectively risen to 3rd place and he may well participate in the final battle.
Jérémy Iglesias (Intrepid / TM) showed his determination by beating Manuel Renaudie (Gillard / SGM) to 4th. Alessandro Bressan (Kosmic /Vortex) was much more comfortable than at the European Championship in Germany with his 6th place.
Penalized by his retirement in a heat, Norman Nato (Intrepid / TM) is only 10th on the grid, but his speed remains in no doubt in the races. Arnaud Kozlinski (CRG / Maxter) follows in 11th, but doesn’t seem to have the best chance to succeed. He will have to fight against the European champion, Bas Lammers (Intrepid / TM) who is next to him. We will also watch for a likely recovery from Armand Convers. Zanchetta and Gazzurelli have earned their ticket to the finals in the repechage.
