The wind blew freshly on Essay and the clouds were threatening, but the rain remained in the sky. The KF3 pre-final began with a violent crash between Tanguy Carel and Jonathan Hélias, the latter being slightly injured in the neck. Pierre Gasly (Sodi / Parilla) was down in pack and losing valuable places. Mathieu Jaminet (Maranello / Maxter) was leading, but Alex Baron (Tony Kart / Vortex) was not far off, and Pascal Belmaaziz (Intrepid / TM) wasn’t either. However, the hierarchy changed on the 3rd lap, with Baron taking first place and Belmaaziz second, but Jaminet was not the type to accept this kind of situation. Baron now pulled out a gap to protect himself.
A chasing group was formed with Nicolas Gonzales (Mirage / TM), Enzo Guibbert (Birel / TM), Pierre Gasly, Victor Makau grappling with Victor Sendin. Gonzales did not make it to the end of the race, which benefited Gasly, and Makau and Bedoret made a good comeback. Two laps from the end, Jaminet launched a surprise attack on Baron, while Belmaaziz took the opportunity to slip into second place. Gasly was 4th, Makau 5th, Bedoret 6th and Guibbert 7th.
