The KZ2 final had a hectic start. Yannick Savard (CRG / Maxter), starting first, was quickly dislodged by Thomas Mich (Birel / TM) after an attack from Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM), where he twisted a track rod. Norman Nato (Intrepid / TM) took the opportunity to grab second position. Eric Ramon (Sodi / TM) took a solid 5th, initially followed by Nicky Morris (Tony Kart / Vortex), then by Emilien Grosso (PCR / Pavesi).
Both drivers at the front, Mich and Nato, escaped while it was heated between Abbasse, Savard and Ramon. Mathias Gallepe (Sodi / Maxter) recovered from the back of the grid to the top 10 with Christophe Benoit (Birel / Maxter) and Clement Da Silva (Birel / TM) in his sights. Savard broke his shifter and retired. There was little difference between Mich and Nato and between Abbasse and Ramon. Gallepe managed to take 7th place behind Grosso and Lefebvre.
Norman Nato prefered to ensure second place rather than taking too much risk in trying to attack Mich as the racing line was still wet in places. Abbasse could do no better than 3rd because of his damaged steering, so Mich won his 2nd final of the weekend.
