The chase for the WSK titles goes on in Sarno. There are no previsions for the championship; everybody will run to be successful. In KZ2, KF2 and KF3 there are 215 registered drivers from 33 countries that will compete on karts by 37 international manufacturers.
At the circuit in province of Salerno, the classes KF2 and KF3 will run the second of the seven rounds scheduled for 2009 WSK. Besides these categories and with Super KF observing its first turn of rest, KZ2 will perform as top class at its season’s debut with a large group of champions: in the entry list, there are well 7 top drivers collecting all together the impressive number of 19 world titles. There is one standing out against all of them: it is Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega), the outgoing WSK champion in KZ2 that last season, just at the circuit in Sarno, won the title, prevailing over Belgian Jonathan Thonon (CRG-Maxter-Vega). Another top driver belonging to the same class is Francesco Laudato (Birel-TM-Vega), from Cava dei Tirreni, in province of Salerno, that right on the local circuit, intends to play the leading role, even more so.
There is a wide range of options to follow WSK events. The entire weekend in Sarno can be followed at any time, on the real time window present on the official website www.wsk.it. From this year, the lap time can be analyzed through the partial time “captured” in the three sectors the tracks are split up and published on the internet. If the web represents the instrument to follow live every race, the TV meeting is scheduled, as always, the week following the event, with the usual special report broadcast on the satellite channel and the digital TV.
