Max Fewtrell (FA Kart / Vortex) made an excellent start to the KF final ahead of Karol Basz (Tony Kart / Vortex), Martin Van Leeuwen (Zanardi / Parilla) and Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex). A collision occurred just behind between Hannes Janker (Zanardi / Parilla) and Benjamin Lessennes (Kosmic / Parilla) who went off the track. The slow procedure was triggered. Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic / Vortex), who is not the luckiest driver, was 8th. The restart was on the 4th lap. Basz fell behind Van Leeuwen and Lorandi was 4th. Fewtrell took the opportunity to create a gap of over a second on Van Leeuwen. Basz was up to 3rd, pushing with Nielsen in his wake. The Polish driver took second position on lap 8, 1.4″ behind Fewtrell. Nielsen and Basz were both faster than their opponents.
Nielsen attacked Van Leeuwen at halfway and Matteo Vigano (Top Kart / Parilla) achieved a lot of progress in fifth position ahead of Kevin Rossel (Kosmic / Vortex), Jehan Daruvala (FA Kart / Vortex) and Felice Tiene (CRG / Parilla). Basz gradually closed on Fewtrell by a tenth a lap. If he kept up the same pace, it would not be impossible to dislodge the young Briton. Basz was still accelerating and they were together on lap 15. Basz grabbed the lead on the next lap. In contrast, Nielsen does not return to the leaders and couldn’t pass Van Leeuwen.
Rossel went 5th before Vigano and Tiene. Van Leeuwen passed Nielsen with two laps to go. Troitckiy took 7th past Tiene and Daruvala. It was a superb victory for Basz ahead of Fewtrell, then Van Leeuwen finished 3rd, Nielsen 4th, and Rossel 5th. Tiene took 6th at the last possible moment ahead of Vigano and Troitckiy.
