Wet tyres and a slight increase in rainfall were the conditions for Prefinal B for KZ2. After a good start, Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) lost 1st place to Rick Dreezen (Zanardi / Parilla) before the end of the first lap. Paolo De Conto (Birel / TM) took third position ahead of Jeremy Iglesias. But Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG / Maxter) then took 4th position. Felice Tiene (CRG / Maxter) was 6th, Francesco Celenta (Energy / TM) 7th and Douglas Lundberg (Alpha / TM) 8th. The grip on the track was not going to improve. Ardigo was still in pursuit of Dreezen and in third position, De Conto was nearly a second and a half back. Tiene overtook his teammate Lennox-Lamb for 4th place, Iglesias took 5th place at the same time then Lennox retired.
The duel was intense for the lead. Ardigo passed Dreezen under braking in front of the Tony Kart awning on lap 8. Iglesias passed Tiene for 4th place. Ardigo quickly got away, De Conto, still in third, closed up by more than 4” on Dreezen. Jonathan Thonon (Praga / Parilla), recovered to seventh position ahead of Jan Midrla (Birel / TM). Lundberg fought Tiene on the penultimate lap with Thonon at his heels. Belgian passed the Swede at the bottom of the circuit.
It was a deserved victory for Ardigo, ahead of Dreezen, with De Conto 3rd, Iglesias 4th, Thonon 5th, Lundberg 6th and Hajek 7th.
