Gabriel Gomez (CRG/Iame) was unbeatable during the OK Qualifying Heats of the Champions of the Future Euro Series in Valencia. Ranking 12th in the Qualifying Practice, the Italian-born Brazilian simply won five out of five. In doing so, he took the lead over poleman Zack Drummond (Parolin/TM), who won four times. Dmitry Matveev (KR/Iame) climbed from 8th to 3rd place ahead of Thibaut Ramaekers (KR/Iame), twice winner, and Noah Montero (KR/Iame), while Fionn McLaughlin (KR/Iame) moved up from 19th to 6th place. Anatoly Khavalkin (Parolin/TM), who also won a heat, took 7th place ahead of Joe Turney (KR/Iame), who didn’t disappoint in terms of recovery with 26 places gained.
Louis Iglesias (CRG/Iame) and Lewis Wherrell (Exprit/TM) rounded off the top 10. Sebastiano Pavan (Tony Kart/Vortex) in 14th and Vivek Kanthan (Parolin/TM) in 15th made up 19 and 17 places respectively. Ean Eyckmans (Birel ART/TM) dropped back to 17th position after retiring from the A-E heat. Oleksandr Bondarev (KR/Iame) made up just two places to 19th. Andy Consani (Sodi/TM) moved up six places to 23rd, ahead of Miguel Costa (Parolin/TM) +20 places. Tom Dussol (CRG/Iame) moved up 12 places to 37th, while Jimmy Hélais (KR/Iame) moved up 15 places to 42nd. Adam Rahali (KR/Iame) was 48th, Hugo Martiniello (CRG/Iame) 50th (+12 places) and Thomas Quincé (Tony Kart/Vortex) 63rd.
