The skies cleared over Sarno for the KZ2 Final of the WSK Super Master Series. The track had dried out well, but there was still some uncertainty as to whether grip would return. Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM) had a substantial lead in the championship. Markus Kajak (Maranello/TM) retained 1st place at the start and was already making the difference on the first lap against Maksim Orlov (Parolin/TM). Caught in the whirlwind, Artem Sevriukhin (Birel ART/TM) crashed out 19th. Bertuca was 3rd, Francesco Celenta (Tony Kart/Vortex) was 4th ahead of Marijn Kremers (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Tom Leuillet (Tony Kart/Vortex). Emilien Denner (Sodi/TM) had made up five places to 11th. Bertuca attacked Orlov for P2 on lap 4. Daniel Vasile (Birel ART/TM) remained 9th for the time being. Kajak led with a gap of 1.3” over Orlov, who was back in 2nd, while Leuillet was 4th ahead of his team-mates. In 6th place, Giuseppe Palomba (Sodi/TM) was the first of the Sodis. Very fast, Leuillet moved up to 2nd ahead of Orlov at the halfway point, 2.2″ behind the leader Kajak. Bertuca followed in 3rd position while Denner moved up to 8th. Bertuca attacked Leuillet who replied and Orlov took advantage to move up to 3rd. Kajak maintained a high pace and took a fine victory 4.4” ahead of Leuillet in the middle of a battle with Orlov and Bertuca who was crowned champion despite his P4 in the race. Palomba finished 5th and Denner 7th, both having moved up nine places. Jean Nomblot (Sodi/TM) was 14th and Arthur Poulain (Sodi/TM) 18th.
