The rain had stopped at Cremona, and the still wet track gradually improved for KZ2 Qualifying at the second round of the WSK Super Master Series.
Session 1: Vasile – 1’00”906
Markus Kajak (Maranello/TM) led the way ahead of Daniel Vasile (Birel ART/TM) and Matteo Vigano (Birel ART/TM). Pedro Hiltbrand (Birel ART/TM) and Emilien Denner (Sodi/TM) then climbed back into the top five. Vasile had regained the advantage and finished in the lead with a fifth and final lap of 1’00”906, two tenths ahead of Hiltbrand. Kajak was 3rd, 3 tenths back, Denner 4th and Vigano 5th. Enzo Lacreuse (DR/Modena) finished 13th and Tom Leuillet (Tony Kart/Vortex) 14th.
Session 2: Bertuca – 1’00”810
Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM) led the way ahead of Artem Severiukhin (Birel ART/TM). Giuseppe Palomba (Sodi/TM) was 3rd. Bertuca took pole position with a time of 1’00”810. Severiukhin took P2 by 3 tenths, while Palomba finished 3rd at 0.327”. Jean and Samuel Luyet (Birel ART/TM) completed the top five. Adrien Renaudin (DR/Modena) had only completed one lap and was 15th, while Jérémy Potain (Birel ART/TM) finished 17th.
