The track at Le Mans was dry and the sun was even trying to break through the clouds for the RMCIT DD2 Max Super Heat on Saturday morning. Antoine Barbaroux (Sodi/Rotax) and Victor Sendin (Birel ART/Rotax) shared the front row. Rasmus Vendelbo (Kosmic/Rotax) was hot on Barbaroux’s heels, followed by Xen De Ruwe (Tony Kart/Rotax) and Edward Mattews (LN/Rotax). Sendin was slowed in an accident and found himself 29th. De Ruwe went on the attack on lap 3 and took 1st place ahead of Matthews and Vendelbo. Barbaroux was 4th followed by Christian Sørensen (Birel ART/Rotax). Barbaroux regained 3rd place from Matthews. De Ruwe escaped into the lead. Dylan Léger (Sodi/Rotax) had moved up nine places to 6th. Barbaroux gained one place by taking over P2. 23rd in Qualifying, De Ruwe made up for lost time by winning the Super Heat with a comfortable lead of 1.3” over Barbaroux. Vendelbo was 3rd, Sørensen 4th and Léger 5th on the line, (+10 places), penalised 9th for overtaking under yellow flag.
