Super Heat 1: Bondarev wins after van Langendonck’s retirement
Behind the leader Dries van Langendonck (Exprit/TM), Alfie Slater (LN/Vortex), Eliott Kaczynski (Tony Kart/Vortex), Oleksandr Bondarev (KR/Iame) and Noah Wolfe (Birel ART/TM) had managed to take advantage of the start to climb back up, while Filippo Sala (Sodi/TM) was 6th and Jindrich Pesl (IPK/TM) had dropped back to 9th. Louis Cochet (Sodi/TM) had a good start and was five places higher in 12th. Andy Consani (Parolin/TM) was 14th. Van Langendonck immediately put himself out of reach of his rivals, Bondarev was relegated to 1,3” before the halfway point, a gap that increased as he battled with Slater. On lap 9, van Langendonck had to retire due to a technical problem. The race for the victory was suddenly reopened between Bondarev followed by Slater at 2 tenths, then Wolfe and Kaczynski very close behind. A missed attempt by Slater put him under pressure from Wolfe on the penultimate lap. Bondarev won against Slater after a six-place improvement, with Wolfe 3rd, Kaczynski 4th and Sala 5th at 2”. Cochet was now in 11th position, Consani finished 14th.
Super Heat 2: Costoya’s winning return
Lewis Wherrell (Exprit/TM) got off to a good start but Iacopo Martinese (KR/Iame) finished the first lap as leader. Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) was in 3rd place ahead of Salim Hanna (LN/Vortex) and Thibaut Ramaekers (KR/Iame) who was soon overtaken by Jack Iliffe (Parolin/TM). Zac Drummond (Parolin/TM) was 5th ahead of his team-mate Iliffe. Costoya took the lead on the fourth lap, followed by Martinese. Hanna and Ramaekers lost several positions, Drummond moved up to 4th, Iliffe 5th and Markas Silkunas (Tony Kart/TM) 6th ahead of Taym Saleh (KR/Iame). At the halfway point, Costoya set the fastest time almost 1” ahead of Wherrell who took 2nd and Drummond 3rd. But Wherrell increased the pace and tried to catch the leader. Saleh retired and Iliffe passed Martinese for 4th place. Costoya finished as winner with the fastest lap, more than 8 tenths ahead of Wherrell, then Drummond, Iliffe 4th and Martinese 5th.
