The first event completely dedicated to the increasingly exciting MINI category is set at the Pista Azzurra in Jesolo for the weekend of 12 June 2022.
The importance of the event also comes from the name it was assigned, namely the Jesolo Champions Cup, in memory of the great karting event of the seventies organized by the late Mario Calzavara on the historic Pista Azzurra, today still successfully managed by his son Francesco Calzavara.
An event entirely “Only Mini” that comes to seal the great success that the category for drivers from 9 to 12 years is experiencing in recent years, increasingly crowded by very young people from all over the world, especially after last year’s launch. of the MINI Gr.3 with CIK-FIA international technical homologation.
The Jesolo “Only Mini” Champions Cup on June 12 is open to the two categories Mini Gr.3 and X30 Mini, with the aim of offering a great stage for the very young talents that we will certainly find in the near future among the champions of the higher categories. and motoring. The format of the event will be partly innovative, and in any case suitable for spending a weekend of leisure in a suggestive and holiday location like that of Jesolo.
The competition phases will be concentrated from Friday 10 June to Sunday 12 June, but it will be possible to try it as of Tuesday 7 June. The timing service will be activated as of Thursday 9 June. One of the major innovations includes the qualifying phases, with the introduction of Superpole after timed practice. All qualifiers for the MINI Gr3 and X30 Mini Finals will get a free set of new MG tires to compete in the final race.
