A lot happened during the 10 OK-Junior Qualifying Heats of the WSK Super Master Series Round 2 in Lonato. The top three qualifiers were all around 10th place with Douwe Dedecker (KR/Iame) 9th, poleman Lucas Fluxa Cross (KR/Iame) 10th and Enea Frey (LN/Vortex) 11th. Most of the top-ranked drivers made good progress. Oleksandr Bondarev (LN/Vortex) took the lead on Saturday evening ahead of Anatoly Khavalkin (Parolin/TM) and Andres Cardenas (Energy/TM), while René Lammers (Parolin/TM) moved up from 28th to 4th place, followed by Emanuele Olivieri (IPK/TM) Maxens Verbrugge (Exprit/TM) finished 12th after a convincing performance with one retirement and one victory. Twice winner Dmitry Matveev (Tony Kart/Vortex) was only 13th after a retirement at the start.
Andy Consani (Sodi/TM) moved up 20 places to 15th ahead of Kirill Kutskov (Birel ART/TM), while Thomas Quincé (Tony Kart/TM) moved up to 21st and Jimmy Helias (Tony Kart/Vortex) to 28th. Nathan Tye (Sodi/TM) was disappointed to drop from 4th to 41st position, while Louis Leveau (Sodi/TM) moved up from 65th to 51st. Rafael Theveny was outside the Final qualifiers in 82nd place.
