Under the floodlights of Bahrain, although there was still a little daylight, Oscar Pellemele (FRA) took the lead for the 10-lap E20 Prefinal of the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals alongside Theo Kelati (ARE). The start was made with all the karts stopped on the grid.
Pellemele kept the lead over Kekati at the start of the race, Hannes Morin (SWE) regained three places in 3rd position, followed by Malte Ebdrup (DNK) and Aleksi Jalava (FIN). Morin moved up to 2nd on the 2nd lap, 3 tenths behind Pellemele. Kekati and Ebdrup stayed close to Morin. Kekati regained his 2nd position while Pellemele increased his lead to over 8 tenths. The battle for 2nd place continued between Morin and Kekati, which left Pellemele free. David Aulejtner (POL) moved up to 3rd place with two laps to go. The fight for 4th place intensified at the end of the race. Pellemele won 2,8” ahead of Kekati and Morin. Aulejtner finished 4th followed by Ellis Spiezia (USA) who was penalised to 13th, with Aleksi Jalava (FIN) 5th and Matilda Olsson (SWE) 7th.
