Kai Rillaerts (BEL – Exprit – JJ Racing) finished the first lap of the Junior Prefinal of the Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy in Le Mans in the lead. Téo Blin (FRA – Tony Kart) managed to hold on to 2nd place against Farin Megger (DEU – Exprit – JJ Racing) and the three-way battle could begin. Aron Krepcsik (HUN – Exprit) was 4th by 9 tenths, followed by Matthijs Terlouw (NLD – Tony Kart). Jules Roussel (FRA – Sodi) was holding on to 8th position before losing his spoiler. Just before the halfway point, the top three were within 3 tenths of each other, then Megger attacked Blin for 2nd place which allowed Rillaerts to take a 5 tenths lead. Krepcsik and Terlouw were fighting for 4th position. Rillaerts took another victory 7 tenths ahead of Megger, followed by Blin. Krepcsik finished 4th at 2,7” ahead of Menyhért Krózser (HUN – Kosmic – KSB Racing Team). Karel Schulz (FRA – Exprit) moved up nine places to 12th.
