After a beautiful formation on the track, under the eye of the cameras and in the presence of Felipe Massa who had personally given a medal to each participant, the drivers of the International Handikart Trophy were preparing for their Final in the sun of Aunay-les-Bois.
Lavaux started in the lead ahead of Lascorz and Vaché. Borgetto was pushing hard to come back from last place and was already 7th and up six places on the second lap. This time, the leader Lavaux pulled out a big gap against the serious threat from Lascorz. Nicolle took 4th in front of Meneur. Borgetto made a mistake and compromised his comeback by falling back to 8th. The battle was raging in the H3 between Besseney, Chan Tsin and Joubert for the top 10.
Vaché managed to overtake Lascorz at mid-race, whereas Lavaux ensured his domination with a lead reaching 3,8”. Lascorz never gave up fighting for 2nd place against Vaché. Lavuax finally won the International Handikart Trophy with an advantage of more than 5″ after a faultless race. Vaché took 2nd place less than 3 tenths ahead of the brilliant Lascorz. The podium rewarded an H1 driver as well as an H2 and an H3. Nicolle finished 4th ahead of Meneur. 9th, Zoltan Bessenyey secured 2nd place in H3 ahead of Vianney Chan Tsin and Patrick Joubert.
