In Spain, concern about the spread of Covid-19 is spreading to Zaragoza.
Since last week, the increase in the number of people infected with the coronavirus since deconfinement has led the Spanish authorities to take new isolation measures. This return of the virus is mainly linked to social practices, with family and friends, during which respect for protective gestures is far from being the rule.
The community of Catalonia was first affected, with the city of Lerida, then the capital Barcelona, whose inhabitants must now avoid going out and meeting. Aragon is also seeing an upsurge in cases and the population is being asked to take all the necessary precautions in Zaragoza and its surroundings, but also in Huesca. Restaurants and hotels are threatened by this upsurge in contamination. Road health checks are being carried out on the outskirts of the Aragonese metropolis.

The Zuera circuit is now in a monitored zone and there are legitimate questions as to whether the FIA European Karting OK and Junior Championship will be held in two weeks’ time. The FIA Karting promoter is on site as organiser of the Champions of the Future. Needless to say that he is closely monitoring the situation in liaison with the CIK-FIA. James Geidel is also in discussion with the teams whose first concern this weekend is to be able to leave Zuera on Sunday evening and return to their base.
