The third heat B-D of the Academy Trophy was held on a very wet track. Robert De Haan (NLD) immediately took the lead. Paolo Ferrari (ITA) struggled to maintain 2nd place against Lucas Mendes (BRA). Lucas Mars (USA) and Maxwell Dodds (GBR) came off the track early in the race. De Haan won by 4” ahead of Ferrari and Mendes, Maximus Mayer (ESP) and Magnus Germansen (DNK) completed the top five. Mattéo Spirgel (FRA) finished 10th and Karlis Grava (AUT) 17th.
Without rain, but in the wet, the A-C heat saw Filip Jenic, Charlie Wurz (AUT), Nicolas Baptiste (COL) and Maxime Furon-Castelain (LUX) retire after a collision on the first lap. Elliott Vayron (FRA), 2nd, and Lois Delbart (BEL) gave up a little later. Meanwhile, Christian Ho (SGP) led before being overtaken by Ken Oskar Algre (EST), Rafael Mondonese (CAN) and Fuki Tanaka (JPN). Ho dropped back and gave up. Algre prevailed, Tanaka took 2nd place on the last lap from Mondonese, Rishon Rajeev (IND) was 4th and Thomas Martins (BEL) 5th.
