Pelizzari, Vigano, Ippolito, Tubben, Bacisuka was the top five on the first lap of the KZ2 Final at the European Championship after an eventful start. Matteo Vigano (Tony Kart / Vortex) took the lead on lap 4, Rokas Baciuska (Sodi / TM) was 3rd behind Alessandro Pelizzari (CKR / TM). From 5th, Paul Fontaine (Sodi / TM) dropped to 8th position while Alex Irlando (Sodi / TM) continued to gain ground. Tom Leuillet (Sodi / TM) returned to the top ten. Baciuska took 2nd place ahead of Paolo Ippolito (Lenzo / LKE), who responded.
Halfway through, Vigano was more than a second ahead of Ippolito, and Irlando, at the edge of the top five, was the fastest in the lead group. But the end of the race was to bring more surprises. Vigano retired on the last lap, engine broken apparently at the connecting rod and Ippolito prevailed against Baciuska. Pelizzari finished 3rd, Leon Köhler (Tony Kart / Vortex) 4th after long resistance to Irlando. Francesco Icovacci (Luxor / LKE) took 6th place ahead of Leuillet, who finished with the fastest lap. Adrien Renaudin (Sodi / TM) was close to the top 10 after sinking at the start of the race. Strong until then, Fontaine fell to 14th shortly before the finish.
