David Vidales (Tony Kart / Vortex) managed to sneak past Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex) at the start of the OK Final, while Tom Joyner (Zanardi / Parilla) kept the lead. But the Tony Kart duo quickly dislodged the Briton from his 1st place. Dennis Hauger (CRG / Parilla) missed the call. Ulysses De Pauw (Kosmic / Parilla) in 3rd place headed a very tight squad including Lorenzo Travisanutto (Zanardi / Parilla), Paavo Tonteri (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex). Novalak attacked Vidales to take command of the race, and the Spaniard’s resistance placed him under the direct threat of Joyner who touched him and sent him spinning accidentally.
Novalak was then followed by Joyner, the two drivers several seconds behind the pack led by Travisanutto ahead of Tonteri. David Schumacher (Tony Kart / Vortex) then moved up to 5th position ahead of Basz and Davide Lombardo (CRG / Parilla). Joyner managed to overtake Novalak under braking just before mid-race. Meanwhile, Luca Lippkau (Zanardi / Parilla) and Noah Milell (Kosmic / Vortex) made a spectacular comeback at the edge of the top 10. Adam Eteki (Zanardi / Parilla) fought like a lion around 12th. Significantly faster, Joyner was digging a growing gap to Novalak. The Brazilian Caio Collet (Birel ART / TM) passed De Pauw for 8th position.
Joyner crossed the line as a significant winner with a 4.6 ” lead and the fastest lap in the race, but he received a 5” penalty for bad manoeuvre and was classified 3rd. Novalak was 1st in front of Tonteri, Basz 4th and Schumacher 5th after 10” penalty given to Travisanutto.
