Behind Andrea Rosso (Tony Kart / Vortex), the leader of the OK-Junior Final, Pavel Bulantsev struggled with Genis Civico (FA Kart / TM) for 2nd place. But the reaction was not delayed in the pack for Jack Doohan (FA Kart / Vortex) who returned to 3rd by surpassing Ilya Morozov (Tony Kart / Vortex) then 2nd in front of Bulantsev. Rosso had already had time to intimidate his rivals with a lead of more than a second after only three laps. Mattia Michelotto (Zanardi / Parilla) tackled Morozov’s 4th place, who dropped to 13th. Harry Thompson (FA Kart / Vortex) came back to 5th in front of Civico, and the fast Chris Lulham (Tony Kart / Parilla) was 7th.
Doohan lost his 2nd place to Bulantsev, but held off Michelotto for 3rd place. Gillian Henrion (CRG / Parilla) fought for 8th at the start of the race, at the edge of the top 10. Doohan did not stop threatening Bulantsev and overtook him on the 12th lap. Hadrien David (Zanardi / Parilla) made up a good 10 places and reached 15th. Michelotto then succeeded in dislodging Bulantsev from 3rd place, and finished 2nd, but was penalised for his spoiler. Bulantsev was on the second step of the podium and Doohan on the 3rd. Henrion finally finished 8th, David 13th (+ 12p) and Loris Cabirou (Sodi / TM) 29th. Rosso had won by more than 4.5” ahead of his opponents.
