Poleman Alfred Nilsson (SWE) secured his leading position in the qualifying heats of the CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy at Kristianstad with two consecutive victories. Kas Haverkort (NLD) was able to take 2nd place with a victory in the BC heat, beating Elias Goldstein (BEL). The ranking underwent several significant changes as 4th place went to Senna van Walstijn (NLD) and the 6th to Maciej Szyszko (POL) who were 10th and 11th in qualifying. Stronger still, Callum Bradshaw (GBR) managed to reach 6th place after his distant 16th lap. There was disappointment for Jonne Ollikainen (FIN), 3rd in qualifying but delayed by problems in a heat, where he dropped to 12th. The outsider Xavier Handsaeme (BEL) continued to encounter setbacks and will go through the repechage.
Of the French, Thomas Mialane scored a coup by finishing 2nd in his last race. He is in 15th position, while Thomas Imbourg has also recovered well after a difficult first heat, qualifying in 27th.
