Three qualifying races for three groups, two races per driver, were on the agenda for the European meeting at Genk on Saturday. The weather brightened up at the same time as the heat increased.
The poleman Hannes Janker (CRG / Parilla) retained the lead of the class with two flawless victories, while Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex) won the other. Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex), however, came back to 2nd position ahead of Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG / Parilla), 3rd level on points in front of Marta Garcia (Evokart / Parilla) and Lorenzo Travisanutto (Tony Kart / Vortex). Part of the title race, Basz is only in 7th place and Tom Joyner (Zanardi / Parilla) 11th, for now giving Hiltbrand a small advantage. The task was complicated seriously for Logan Sargeant (FA Kart / Vortex) in 16th after a retirement.
Of the French, Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer (Tony Kart / Vortex) kept 9th where he qualified, and Geoffrey Baudot (Kosmic / Parilla) finished in 14th position ahead of Alexander Gadois (Kosmic / Parilla).
