At the end of the last round of the 2015 series which ended this weekend at Paul Ricard at Le Castellet, the young driver Giuliano Alesi has secured the title of Vice Champion of French F4 Junior.
While undoubtedly having a slower car than his opponents, mostly in a straight line, Giuliano was not unworthy throughout the three scheduled races, as always showing great motivation and a strong sense of attack.
Despite the over-enthusiasm of one of his competitors in the last race, forcing him into retirement, Giuliano was able to enjoy the two races on Saturday and register more significant points in the championship.
The results of Giuliano’s first single-seater season are more than positive as he managed to take the title of Vice Champion of France Junior and finished as the second best performer in the number of victories during this season, just being beaten by a driver on his second season.
The French F4 is over for Giuliano, but not yet his season. He will now complete many practice sessions around the globe before his definitive programme for 2016 is announced.
Giuliano Alesi: “I did not finish my championship as I had imagined I would but I need to remember that it was my first season in single seaters and my third in motorsport in any category. I was the driver with the least experience and testing before the start of the season but I managed to finish as Vice Champion of France with many wins under my belt. Tomorrow I will attack the 2016 season, and I will work even harder because the future developments are going to be very important.
I would like to thank the staff of the Auto Sport Academy and their mechanics who helped me to take my first steps in single-seaters with a great atmosphere at each meeting. I’m glad my father insisted that I race in this Championship because it is the most effective training.
Also thank you to my parents for giving me this chance to race in cars this year and especially my father who supported me all season.“
