The Spanish event has been very positive for Giuliano Alesi where he renewed his success and won a new victory. Although mathematically he can no longer take the French F4 Championship, the young driver from Avignon is still in the hunt for the final podium and can still claim pride of place.
This weekend in Navarre has enabled Giuliano Alesi to take a total of 39 points, guaranteeing at least 4th position in the standings where he has a total of 159.5 points. Having posted the second fastest time during the qualifying session, Giuliano finished the first race of the meeting with a brilliant victory. Starting 10th through the principle of reverse grid, Giuliano Alesi scored precious points in Race 2 even though the result was not the one he expected. As for Sunday’s race, the French driver failed to capitalise on his 2nd position on the grid and had to settle for 5th.
This victory places Giuliano among the best performers of the year, as only three drivers, including Giuliano, can boast of having won at least three times this season.
Giuliano Alesi is not overlooking his chances of a podium at the final meeting at Le Castellet on 24th and 25th October, and he continues his training tirelessly for this first season in single seaters.l
Giuliano Alesi “The general outcome of this meeting of Navarra is positive overall as I’m leaving with a win. Nevertheless, I have to analyze the third race in detail where I was not able to do better than 5th with performance that could have put me on the podium. In three weeks we have the last meeting at Paul Ricard and I will use this time to work and become better prepared. My motivation is intact and only victory will satisfy me. I know I can not win the championship but the podium remains within my reach and that will be my goal for the race at Le Castellet.“
