The weather was pretty good for the area at the start of the KF Junior Prefinal.
Presley Martono (Tony Kart / Vortex), starting 3rd, seized the lead against Rasmus Lindh (Ricciardo / Parilla), but Marta Garcia (FA Kart / TM) dislodged him on the second lap, while Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Christian Lundgaard (Tony Kart / Vortex) fought for 4th place. Ulysse De Pauw (BirelART / Parilla) continued to gain places, quickly coming back into the top 10. Charles Milesi (Tony Kart / Vortex) did more than hold his own as he gained some places.
Martono and Garcia outpaced Lindh when Marta attacked Presley on lap 6, without success. Alex Quinn (CRG / Parilla) was in 4th position. Garcia then gave way under pressure from Lindh and Novalak, leaving Martono isolated at the front of the race, far ahead of Quinn. De Pauw passed Lundgaard to gain 5th place then went into 4th position ahead of Logan Sargeant (FA Kart / Vortex) and Garcia. Lindh retired with four laps to go, Martono won 3.6” ahead of Quinn, De Pauw completed the top 3, with a gain of 11 positions, followed by Sargeant and Garcia. There was a big disappointment for Noah Watt (FA Kart / Vortex) who dropped out on the last lap. Milesi finished 16th, Artem Petrov (DR / TM) moved up 12 places to 19th place, Kenny Roosens (Kosmic / Parilla) gained seven places, but still finished in 21st position.
