The 20th edition of the classic Italian race once again marks the true beginning of the sporting season this year. This is especially true in KZ2 with a prestigious field of nearly 70 drivers with many leading competitors who will meet for the first time this year.
The winner last year at the wheel of a Birel, Paolo De Conto will fight to retain his title this time on factory a CRG / Maxter. He will face other top names in KZ like the World Champion Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) and his teammate Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex), Bas Lammers (Formula K / Parilla), Rick Dreezen (Zanardi / Parilla ), Jordon Lennox-Lamb (BirelART / Parilla), Davide Fore (CRG / TM), Ben Hanley (Croc Promotion / TM), Arnaud Kozlinski and Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) and his new teammate Simo Puhakka (CRG / Maxter). We may miss Praga Kart factory team who are absent at this level.
The top specialists in KZ2 will also be well represented with the European Champion Andrea Dale ‘(CRG / Maxter), Joel Johansson (Energy / TM), Fabian Federer (Maranello / Maxter), Lorenzo Camplese (Formula K / Parilla), Luca Tilloca and Gary Carlton (Intrepid / Modena), Menno Paauwe (BirelART / TM), Mirko Torsellini (Ricciardo / TM), Luca Corberi (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Marco Zanchetta (Alpha / TM).
With Kozlinski and Abbasse, French clan includes seven drivers. Nicolas Gonzales (Alpha / TM) and Thomas Laurent (Tony Kart / Vortex) will be the spearheads, Hubert Petit (Sodi / TM) and Paul Fontaine (Alpha / TM) will debut in 125cc gearbox, and Pierre Bourgeois (TBA / TM) will compete after his participation in the International Super Cup at Sarno in October.
