As is the case every year the 2015 French F4 Championship will comprise seven rounds with a total of 21 races. The road map will bring the future Auto Sport Academy recruits to 5 legendary French circuits and two international meetings at Navarra in Spain with the GT Tour, and the Hungaroring beside Budapest with the World Series by Renault.
The 2015 French F4 Championship calendar will comprise seven meetings including five in the context of the FFSA GT Tour, the blue riband circuit racing series in France, as well as an international round at Navarra, another at the legendary Pau Grand Prix and one that will take place during a World Series by Renault meeting, an international championship that includes the French manufacturer’s main single-make categories. The Auto Sport Academy trainees will tackle the following circuits next year :
Lédenon: 17-19 April
The Lédenon circuit is the hilliest, twistiest and most technical circuit in France. It gives the drivers no time to relax as they have to change gear 38 times per lap! It is also the only track on which they race in an anti-clockwise direction.
Le Mans: 1-3 May
The Bugatti circuit within the mind-boggling complex which hosts the Le Mans 24 Hours, which is just beside the Auto Sport Academy premises, is one of the most prestigious rendezvous of the year. The Pays de la Loire region and the Le Mans metropolitan structure that back the Federation’s training centre add special interest to this race every year.
Pau: 15-17 May
This event run on the 2.76-km layout in the city of Pau, which hasn’t changed since 1935, is one of the two meetings run outside the FFSA GT Tour. It’s worth remembering that most of the great racing drivers in the world have shone on this circuit that they all like very much.
Budapest: 12-14 June
Since 1986 the Hungaroring circuit has hosted the Hungarian F1 Grand Prix. The slow, bumpy, narrow track has gained a reputation as a roller-coaster because of its never-ending strings of corners.
Magny-Cours: 28-30 August
The second half of the season will begin at Magny-Cours where the drivers will get back in their cars to resume battle after the summer break.
Navarra: 25-27 September
The Navarra circuit is a unique facility in the north-east of Spain consisting of six left-hand corners and nine right-hand ones over a distance of 3.933 km. It is both a demanding and attractive venue.
Le Castellet: 23-25 October
The final of the FFSA GT Tour will take place on this layout also known as the Paul Ricard circuit. It is where the curtain will fall on the French F4 Championship.
At each meeting the drivers will do battle in three heats, a total of 21 races, to decide the 2015 champion. The field will consist of numerous French and foreign drivers who are all determined to leave their mark on the 2015 French F4 Championship season.
