Alexander Vartanyan (Tony Kart / Vortex) emerged in the lead at the start of the KF Junior Prefinal A at Adria ahead of Juan Correa (Energy / TM). Logan Sargeant (FA Kart / Vortex) soon took third position and the fastest lap. Casper Roes Andersen (FA Kart / Vortex) moved up to 5th place. Sargeant attacked Correa on lap 4 to gain 2nd place and returned to the leader, Vartanyan. Rasmus Lindh (Praga / Parilla) lost a few places in favour of Clement Novalak (Kosmic / Vortex) and Alex Quinn (CRG / Parilla), but the British driver dropped back. Giuliano Alesi (Tony Kart / Vortex) made a beautiful comeback to be close to the top 10.
Meanwhile, Nikita Volegov (Tony Kart / Parilla) overtook Correa for 3rd place. Vartanyan was unhindered in the lead with a good five tenths ahead of Sargeant. Volegov improved the fastest lap and closed on the American. Andersen in turn accelerated and took fourth ahead of Correa. Volegov grabbed second position with two laps to go. Vartanyan won ahead of Volegov, with Sargeant 3rd, Andersen 4th, Correa 5th, and Novalak 6th. Alesi qualified in 13th position.
