Andrea Dale (CRG / Maxter) started perfectly in the KZ2 final, Jan Midrla (Birel / TM) made a mistake which Ryan Van De Burgt (DR / TM) couldn’t avoid and retired shortly after, with broken steering.
Finn Kooijman (CRG / TM) then took second place ahead of Douglas Lundberg (Alpha / Parilla) and Midrla before he was given the technical flag, which means a pit stop. Marijn Kremers (Birel / TM) was 4th followed by Fabian Federer (CRG / Maxter), Andreas Hansen (Tony Kart / Vortex), Simone Brenna (TB Kart / Modena) and Joel Johansson (Righetti / Parilla). Kristijan Habulin (TB Kart / Modena) dropped to the back of the pack, as did Marco Zanchetta (Maranello / TM) and Ricardo Romkema (Energy / TM). There was good progress for both French drivers at the beginning of the race: Charly Bizalion (Alpha / TM) was 18th and Yohann Cresson (Tony Kart / Vortex) 22nd, each up ten places.
In the first third of the race, Dale led by 1.3” ahead of Lundberg, followed closely by Midrla in 3rd, Kooijman 4th, and Hansen 5th. Following an incident between Lundberg and Midrla, Kooijman approached and took 2nd place ahead of Hansen and Federer then Lundberg took 5th ahead of Simas Juodvirsis (Energy / Maxter) and Johansson. Midrla was 25th. This time, Dale was over 4” ahead. Hansen took 2nd position with four laps to go with Federer 3rd. Lundberg could not seem to keep up with the pace: he had to give up 5th place Juodvirsis and was now under threat from Johansson.
It was an overwhelming victory for Dale, with the fastest lap, almost 6” ahead of Hansen and Federer with Kooijman 1” in 4th and Juodvirsis 5th, who gained over 24 places in 23 laps, and Lundberg maintained his sixth position from Johansson and Brenna.
