A structure for the development and management of drivers to detect and support future talent in motorsport, the Lotus F1 Junior Team unveiled its list of 9 members for 2014. Marlon Stockinger will run in Formula Renault 3.5, Alex Fontana in the GP3 Series, Esteban Ocon and Oscar Tunjo in F3 Euro Series, Alexandrer Albon, Callan O’Keeffe and Gregor Ramsay in FR 2.0 Eurocup, while Dorian Boccolacci will debut in the French F4 Championship. The youngest of the team continues his career in karting, the American Juan Manuel Correa, 14 years old and with remarkable performances last year.
Born in Quito, Ecuador, and residing in Miami, Florida, the young Juan Manuel started karting there seven years ago. In 2013, he took an important step by winning the Rotax Grand Nationals in Juniors before becoming the first American to win at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals, the World competition held in New Orleans. After becoming familiar with the European Rotax races in 2013, he has just made a promising start in the KF-Junior category with the Energy Corse team with an ambitious programme focused on the WSK Super Master Series and the CIK-FIA European and World Championships.
