Two RFM drivers were on the front row for the KF-Junior final at the WSK Champions Cup at La Conca, Max Fewtrell and Enaam Ahmed (FA Kart / Vortex). The surprising Swedish driver Anton Haaga (Lenzo / LKE) was on the second row alongside Benjamin Lessennes (Kosmic / Parilla). Ahmed was pushed into a spin on the start line and fall to 15th. Fewtrell led the race ahead of Haaga, Lessennes, Lorenzo Travisanutto (PCR / Parilla) and Mick Junior (Tony Kart / Vortex) who made a good start. Travisanutto grabbed second place on lap 2. Haaga dropped down to 7th ahead of David Beckmann (FA Kart / Vortex), while Daniel Ticktum (Zanardi / Parilla) and Leornardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / TM) were 5th and 6th.
Lessennes then yielded to Mick Junior and Ticktum. Haaga attacked Lorandi for 6th place, Casper Roes (Energy / TM) passed Juan Correa (Energy / TM) to gain 8th position. Then it was the turn of Mick Junior who demoted Ticktum and Lessennes to 3rd and 4th places. In the lead, Fewtrell was over 2” ahead of Travisanutto who still had a gap to the chasing trio of Ticktum, Lessennes and Mick Junior. Ahmed was poised to enter the top 10.
Haaga launched an optimistic attack on Mick Junior, but lost several places. Ticktum gradually closed on Travisanutto in second. Fewtrell finally won the race he dominated from start to finish. Travisanutto was 2nd, and Ticktum conserved 3rd. Mick Junior finished 4th ahead of Lessennes in 5th, Roes 6th and Haaga 7th.
