Though he just competed in 3 out of 5 rounds of the German Championship (DKM), Dorian Boccolacci (Energy/TM) took the 4th place in the final overall KF1 classification of this interesting event, which is the only national championship that currently offers an excellent level. It must be said that during the last meeting held in Belgium on the circuit of Genk, Dorian dominated the scene. He won almost everything, and only took second place in Race 1, in the rain.
Dorian conquered a fantastic pole in timed qualifying, where he was 2.5 seconds faster than his competitors, then he kept the momentum going in the heats, under a gloomy sky and with pretty cold temperatures. He took leadership in the provisional classification and started in the lead in Race 1, on Sunday morning, on a very slippery track. Unfortunately he could not hold off the German Andre Matisic, the future champion, whose set-up proved to be more suitable to grip conditions.
Dorian made a cautious start in Race 2, when the Belgian track was almost dry, and quickly regained ground, moving towards the first position. It was John Norris who challenged his leadership when the finish line was in sight, but Dorian regained control of the situation thanks to his last sharp braking and won the race with his usual talent.
