Formula K asks Kartcom to publish this reply to Xen De Ruwe informations.
“Formula K, after the events happened in the past weekend, during the last round of Rotax Max Euro Challenge Championship held in Salbris, want to point out with this release its decision regarding the withdrawal (decided by Formula K) of its own official driver De Ruwe Xen from the mentioned race. We would like to point out, that this decision is designed and intended to be a signal to all the professionalism of karting.
The driver who takes a commitment in order to cooperate with a company, whatever is a signed contract or a word, in our humble opinion this is based on 4 words: sincerity, clarity, transparency and above all respect, regarding the commitments agreed with the people who give you confidence, including Mechanics engines tuner (people who give all their best during all the race weekend).
Unfortunately, during this weekend’s race, Formula K realized that our driver Xen De Ruwe does not know the ‘existence of those four words. A person who has no respect and education does not worth any response to his declarations. There have been no phone calls or communications from the driver to Formula K about the intention to change racing material during the season. The agreement between Formula K and the driver De Ruwe would have ended on late 2013, including the race of Zuera Rotax International Open.
Formula K come to know about the driver’s decision to change racing brand only on Friday 6 August not from the individual but after looking at the entry list of the KZ2 World Championship Round of September 22nd on the Cik-Fia website under a different manufacturer then Formula k causing in this way a breach of the committed agreement with Formula K itself.
Our decision was important, as well important were the events that took place over the weekend, and that’s why, on Saturday night, Formula k withdrew its official driver from the race, giving up the chance to win (Leader of the standings after three rounds and probable Final winner) for the European title in the DD2 category, but in our opinion the person directly interested idid not deserve such an important title, considering the serious events that occurred during the weekend.”
