The precautionary principle has struck again and Armand Convers has paid the price. After a collision without much force in heat A / B, the French driver had a little pain in his hand. But the good Dr. Loet Van Der Heidjen, coming especially from the Netherlands to officiate at PFI, did not see it that way.
As one of these honorable people who justify their value by using their power without discretion, the good Dr. Loet Van Der Heidjen was totally inflexibile about the diagnosis, carried out without support from radiographic equipment and there’s no question that Armand can get behind the wheel this weekend. He may be right, or perhaps not at all. Everyone is assured about the dangers of karting, with the good Dr. Loet Van Der Heidjen watching over us .
Is Armand Convers a young inexperienced driver unfamiliar with the risks of competition? No, he’s a professional and highly experienced driver, known for his reliability. It is really strange to see so much zeal for a minor and not disabling injury, when you see another driver limping very badly in the paddock. But probably we have cynical minds and probably karting does need an expert like this…
