It’s time for KF to race their pre-final 1 with Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic / Vortex) on pole, Andrea Russo (Kosmic / Vortex) next to him, then Karol Basz (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG / BMB) on the second row. Nielsen got away first followed by Lennox-Lamb and Dorian Boccolacci (Energy / TM). Lennox-Lamb took the lead, then it was Boccolacci leading from Nielsen, Lennox, Basz and Alex Palou (CRG / Parilla). Nicolas Gonzales (Kosmic / Parilla) was pushed off the track, and then caught up the competitors ahead of him. Ben Barnicoat (ART GP / TM) dropped to last place with a nassau panel bent out of shape. Christian Sorensen (Tony Kart / Vortex) put his nose into fourth position ahead of Lennox and Palou. Boccolacci was dogged by Nielsen who overtook on lap five. Basz was following by 5 tenths of a second. Valentin Moineault (ART GP / TM) set the fastest lap and moved back into the top 10.
Basz approached Boccolacci for 2nd place, Lennox returned to Sorensen. Ollie Norris (FA Kart / Vortex) was in a superb seventh position before attacking Sorensen. The trio looked likely to fight for the win in the closing laps. Indeed, on the penultimate lap, Nielsen attempted to pass Boccolacci, but Basz prepared his move by expanding his trajectory into the corners and passed both on the line. Victory went to Basz ahead of Boccolaci and Nielsen who were damaged in the fight. Lennox took fourth and Palou fifth, Norris sixth, Sorensen 7th, Moineault 8th. Barnicoat and Hiltbrand will not contest the final, and nor will Gonzales and Besancenez.
