Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM) took the advantage from Max Verstappen (CRG / TM) in the KZ prefinal and Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) took the opportunity to insert himself in second position. Verstappen reacted on the second lap by overcoming Ardigo. Davide Fore (CRG / TM) moved up to fourth from Bas Lammers (Intrepid / TM), closely followed by Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) who passed Thonon. Pex controlled the situation until the fifth lap when Verstappen took the lead of the race. Fore attacked Ardigo, but couldn’t pass and Abbasse took the opportunity to take fourth position in front of Fore. The French driver didn’t take long to overtake Ardigo and found himself in the middle of the race for third.
In sixth, Lammers showed impatience behind Fore who more than adequately defended. Charles Leclerc (ART GP / TM) went seventh ahead of teammate Ben Hanley. Verstappen had pulled away from Pex who would have to be wary of Abbasse. Leclerc, Hanley, Federer and Thonon disappeared on lap 10 after heavy contact. Ardigo went off a little on a rumble strip on the penultimate lap and Fore overtook immediately, Lammers passing the next corner.
It was a relentless victory for Max Verstappen, who also set the fastest lap, 2.6” ahead of Jorrit Pex, closely followed by Abbasse. Fore took fourth position ahead of Lammers 5th and Ardigo 6th. There was a good comeback from Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG / Parilla) in seventh place ahead of Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla) in eighth, then Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Michele Di Martino (Energy / TM).
