Last weekend Dorian Boccolacci took his fourth victory of the season, the third conquered in Italy. On the Circuito Internazionale Napoli of Sarno, he fought hard to win in the WSK Euro Series and consolidate his position as leader of the provisional classification, so much so that now he is solidly placed to take the title at Genk, in little less than a month.
Despite his strong competitors, who tried one after the other to make Dorian’s triumphal march a little bit harder, this driver from Lotus F1 Junior Team displayed such regularity that nobody could stop him. In addition to the fastest time in his timed series, a second place in the SuperPole, 3 qualifying heats won out of four, he took a second place in the pre-final before flying to a categorical victory in the final. He was in the lead for 44 laps out of a total of 63…
Now his leadership in the WSK Euro Series classification is becoming increasingly solid, with a score of 161 points, i.e. 71 more than his nearest competitor. Next meeting – the closing round of this competition -will be held in Belgium, in early June.
