Anthony Abbasse fell short of another victory at the Las Vegas Supernationals after his historic success in 2011. With some more laps in the main event, he would have maybe been able to win again. However, Sodi took a fantastic second place in KZ2, in addition to several best laps in race. During his spectacular climb through the field in the final, Abbasse shook off his pursuers, including some of the best world drivers in this specialty. The Sigma chassis equipped with TM engine was the ultimate weapon at Vegas in 2012…
After fine tuning his kart during practice sessions, Abbasse gained several places in the first two heats to climb to 4th and then to 2nd, but was involved in a bump with heavy consequences at the start of the third heat. Relegated to 11th place though he had the performance level to be on the second row, the French driver raised the tempo in the final where he was, and by far, the best performing driver, concluding with an excellent second place that delighted the crowd of fans.
